Order/Payments

First quality merchandise is product without flaws or manufacturer defects. The first quality fabric has undergone a series of inspections to insure quality control. Some fabrics are seconds and thirds, which possess different levels of irregularities and defects. There are companies who sell fabrics at a discount who are actually selling seconds and thirds.

Focal Fabrics accepts orders online. When an order is complete, an e-mail notification will be sent to you confirming your order and giving you a Order Number. If you are having a workroom do the work for you, we recommend shipping directly to them, e.g. a drapery workroom, upholstery shop. However they must still adhere to our policies and procedures for damaged goods. For COM furniture orders, we can drop ship directly to address provided, however you must provide us with any required sidemarks, order number etc. Focal Fabrics is not responsible for lost goods.

The pillow cost calculates the filling, labor, and the yardage required to make the pillow. The required yardage is calculated based on the fabric width, pillow size, seams, added trim and the fabric repeat. Pillows with trim, and/or fabrics with large repeats are both added cost factors of the pillow. All fabrics have a minimum yardage which drives up cost as well. Added custom fabric trim is calculated with minimum visual seams, which requires yardage. The designer and workroom specialist are dedicated to every detail in providing a beautiful pillow for your home.

Focal Fabrics will notify all customers if a product is backordered and will only process the order upon approval by the customer of the backorder date. Focal Fabrics will process your payment at the time your order is placed. If the customer wants to cancel the order because of the backorder date, their credit card or PayPal will be refunded. It is industry standard that manufacturers will mill the fabric once an order has been processed.

This decision is up to our designers and workroom specialists to determine. If there are multiple desirable faces (front and back) for the pillow, we may manufacture two different faces, but all pillows in a single order, from the same fabric will match one another.

Since fabric prints are a form of art, different faces add interest and opportunity to appreciate other parts of the print. Each side will be beautiful independently and as a whole. Please look at the pillows we have made on the Accessories Page to further understand this premise.

All customer orders are inspected and repackaged by our own inspectors. You have seven days to notify Focal Fabrics of damaged goods. Only external damage will be warranted.

If your product is damaged from shipping, please email us a picture of the damaged area prior to opening to service@focalfabrics.com. Refunds will not be honored if failure to properly document damaged areas prior to opening

DO NOT CUT SLEEVE! IT MAY BE NEEDED FOR RETURN SHIPPING.

ALL PROTECTIVE SLEEVES ARE TO BE OPENED AT THE END OF THE BOLT SO THE FABRIC MAY SLIDE OUT AND NO DAMAGE IS DONE TO FABRIC WHEN CUTTING PACKAGE.

Lost Packages

If your package is lost, please notify us immediately via email at service@focalfabrics.com

When placing an order on the Focal Fabrics website, please use a U.S. address for shipping. Our website will not accept an international shipping addresses
Focal Fabrics will not be able to process an order that uses a credit card with a billing address outside the U.S.

Trade Accounts

Wholesale customers are businesses in the design industry. They have registered with their state as a wholesale business and have completed the required documentation to purchase materials at wholesale pricing without paying sales tax on them. The sales tax is paid later by a retail customer and passed to the appropriate State through the business that made the retail sale, which may or may not be the business that purchases from us.

Focal Fabrics requires two forms of documentation to set up a wholesale account. The first document verifies you are conducting business within the design trade and have registered with your state. The second document certifies that you are exempt from paying sales tax on your purchases. Wholesale customers must submit and periodically update the documents in order to maintain a wholesale account with Focal Fabrics.

The United States Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruled in South Dakota v. Wayfair on June 21, 2018, that states can require sellers to collect and remit sales or use tax on sales delivered to locations within their state regardless of physical presence. This means that online sales are no longer exempt from local sales tax collection. Due to this ruling Focal Fabrics is required by law to maintain signed and dated sales tax exemption certificates from all wholesale customers or alternatively collect sales tax for the purchase.

To see wholesale pricing you must create a trade account. Wholesale customers must provide a copy of their state sale tax seller's permit or license and fill out a sales tax exemption certificate for their state. Once your trade account is confirmed, you will receive a discount code for 20% off our regular prices. The discount will be reflected in your cart.
